In 1986, Sandeep's father set up a small toy-manufacturing unit in Indore. By the time Sandeep took over in 2004, that one line had become four — plastic injection moulding, wooden educational kits, packaging, exports. He learned the unglamorous things: how a tight tolerance is the difference between a quality brand and a commodity; how a shop floor that's 5% better every quarter compounds into a moat; how a customer who feels heard becomes a customer for ten years.
In 2022, while sourcing AAC for an in-house warehouse expansion, Sandeep noticed something odd. Every quote was coming from Gujarat or Hyderabad. Trucks were rolling 800–1,200 km into central India to deliver a material the region was screaming for. Quality varied pallet-to-pallet. Lead times were unpredictable. The market was big, growing fast, and nobody was serving it locally.
We commissioned the plant in late 2024 on a 10-acre plot in Hingna MIDC, Nagpur — 6 km from the Mumbai–Kolkata highway, with rail access, and within a 12-hour drive of every major central Indian city. The brief to the engineering team was simple: build a plant that produces a block the structural engineer trusts without a second test, every single day. That's the bar. That's VAJRA.
