The wall is half
of the building's
carbon story.
An AAC wall is built from waste, cured with low energy, and insulates for 60 years. Every cubic metre ships with full traceability — fly-ash source, batch chemistry, embodied carbon — so you can put a number on your project's envelope.

CO₂ saved per m³
vs red brick
Industrial waste reused
fly ash from Koradi TPS
Less water in production
vs traditional clay brick
Topsoil destroyed
no clay mining, ever
The math
180 kg of CO₂ saved per cubic metre. Where it comes from.
Calculated under EN 15804 in our Environmental Product Declaration, using actual logistics distances and our 2025 grid electricity mix. The numbers are independently verified by a third-party assessor.
Red brick walling, 1 m³
360 kg CO₂
VAJRA AAC walling, 1 m³
180 kg CO₂
Fly-ash cement block, 1 m³
245 kg CO₂
At project scale
A typical 1,500 sq ft villa uses ~90 m³ of walling. Switching to VAJRA AAC saves 16.2 tonnes of CO₂— roughly a full year of an Indian household's carbon footprint.
The full lifecycle
From coal-plant waste to recyclable aggregate.
Source: industrial by-product
70% of our raw material is fly ash diverted from Koradi Thermal Power Station's waste stream. Material that would otherwise go to ash pond.
Manufacture: 1/3 the embodied energy
Autoclave curing at 190°C uses far less energy than red-brick kiln firing at 900°C. Steam captured and reused across batches.
Use: lighter HVAC for 60+ years
Low thermal conductivity (0.21 W/m·K) cuts air-conditioning energy by 18–25% for the building's entire operational life.
End of life: fully recyclable
Demolished AAC is inert and 100% recyclable as aggregate for road sub-base or new concrete. No hazardous waste classification.
Green building credits
Up to 18 credits across LEED & IGBC.
Every credit category VAJRA AAC walling contributes to in a typical IGBC Green Building submission. Useful for the green consultant on your project.
MR Credit 1.1
Building Reuse / Material Reuse
Indirect — AAC enables longer building lifecycle.
MR Credit 4
Recycled Content
VAJRA contains 65% post-industrial recycled content (fly ash).
MR Credit 5
Regional Materials
Manufactured in Nagpur — within 500 km of most central-India sites.
EA Credit 1
Optimize Energy Performance
Low U-value envelope reduces HVAC load by up to 23%.
IEQ Credit 4.1
Low-Emitting Materials
Zero VOC, mineral-only composition.
IN Credit 1
Innovation in Design
Thin-bed adhesive system qualifies for innovation point.

By 2030: net-zero plant operations.
We're installing 1.2 MW of rooftop solar in 2026, switching all autoclave boilers to bio-mass briquette feedstock by 2028, and targeting net-zero scope-1 and scope-2 emissions for the Hingna plant by financial year 2030. Annual progress reports are published publicly.
