Why AAC
The building block that's replacing the red brick.
Autoclaved Aerated Concrete is engineered, not fired. Lighter walls, tighter timelines, lower bills — without compromise on strength.

On site · Nagpur
A single mason can lay 23 m² of wall per day with VAJRA blocks.
3× lighter
Just 550–650 kg/m³ vs 1,800 for red brick. Reduces dead load, cuts foundation steel & concrete by up to 15%.
Fire-rated
Non-combustible, withstands 1,200°C. Tested to a 4-hour fire rating — among the safest walling materials.
Thermal insulation
U-value ~0.45 W/m²K — keeps interiors 4–6°C cooler in Nagpur summers. AC bills drop ~25%.
Termite & moisture-proof
Inorganic, dimensionally stable, impervious to pests, mould and salt seepage. Built for Indian humidity.
Faster to build
One AAC block replaces 7–10 bricks. Masons lay 20–25 m²/day vs 12–15 for brick — finish projects weeks sooner.
Eco-friendly
Uses fly ash from thermal plants. Saves ~180 kg CO₂ per m³ vs red brick. No topsoil destruction.

Built by people who've actually run a factory
Forty years of factory floor experience, applied to a single category we believe deeply in.
We didn't start in concrete — we started in toys, in 1986. Four decades later, what we've learned about manufacturing discipline is what makes VAJRA different. A tight tolerance isn't a marketing line. It's the only way we know how to run a factory.
Inside the plant
A walk through our Nagpur facility.
Built ground-up in 2024 to international AAC standards. Every block you receive is wire-cut to ±2 mm, autoclaved at 190°C, and inspected before it leaves the line.
70,000 sq ft facility
Hingna MIDC, Nagpur — strategically placed for pan-central-India dispatch.
Fully automated batching
Computer-controlled mixing keeps every block within ±2% density tolerance.
On-site QC lab
Compressive strength, density and dimensional checks on every production batch.
200 m³ daily capacity
Plant runs two shifts a day — ramping to 300 m³ by Q3 2026.

How it's made
Six steps. One uncompromised block.
A walk through our Nagpur plant — from raw material to palletised, ready-to-ship AAC.
- 01
Precision raw mix
Fly ash from local thermal plants is blended with cement, lime, gypsum and water in a computer-controlled batching plant.

- 02
Aluminium aeration
A precise dose of aluminium powder triggers a controlled reaction. The slurry expands ~2× and forms millions of micro air cells — the source of AAC's thermal insulation.

- 03
Moulding & pre-cure
The mix is poured into large moulds and left to set into a green cake. Once firm enough to handle, it's de-moulded for cutting.

- 04
Wire cutting
The green cake is wire-cut into precise block sizes — 4″, 6″, 8″, 9″ — with tolerances tighter than ±2 mm.

- 05
Autoclave curing
Blocks are cured under saturated steam at 190°C and 12 bar pressure for 12 hours. This is what gives AAC its final strength and crystalline structure.

- 06
QC & palletisation
Every batch is tested for density, strength and dimensional stability. Approved blocks are shrink-wrapped on pallets and dispatched.

Lighter walls.
Lighter footprint.
Every block we ship replaces fired clay with industrial by-product.
CO₂ saved per m³
Vs traditional red brick. A 1,500 sq ft villa saves ~16 tonnes — roughly a year of an Indian household's emissions.
Industrial waste reused
Fly ash diverted from coal thermal plants becomes the primary aggregate in every VAJRA block.
Topsoil destroyed
No clay mining. Unlike red bricks, AAC needs no agricultural land — preserving India's most fertile resource.
Standards & certifications
Specified to the standards your structural team knows.
Part 3 — AAC blocks
Compressive strength, density and dimensional standards laid down by the Bureau of Indian Standards.
Quality management
Internationally recognised QMS — covers every step from raw material intake to dispatch.
Eco-product rating
Independently assessed for low carbon footprint, fly ash content and water efficiency.
Member organisation
VAJRA contributes 1–4 LEED / IGBC credits to projects pursuing green building certification.
Registered MSME
Government-registered manufacturer with GST and pan-India dispatch invoicing.
International benchmark
We meet the American standard for autoclaved aerated concrete, on top of IS 2185.

Trusted by builders
What the people building India say.
Switching to VAJRA AAC dropped our brickwork timeline by 18 days on a 14-floor tower. The block consistency is exactly what a structural engineer wants to see.

We've tried four AAC suppliers in central India. VAJRA is the only one that hits the spec sheet every single pallet. Zero rejections last quarter.

The thermal performance is real. Our showrooms in Indore stay 5°C cooler — clients keep asking what insulation we used. It's just the walls.
